Position: Human Resources Administrator

Job Type: Part Time Contractor, with the possibility of converting to an employee

Grow Sciences is an Arizona cannabis cultivation and extraction company, focused on elite products that delight the consumer. We are B2B2C in that we sell direct to dispensaries, while also seeking direct relationships with the consumers who purchase our products. 

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Administrator to help us complete the growing workload at our company. The HR Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations across recruitment, employee records management, compliance, and general HR administration. This position is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to the success of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Recruitment Support:
    • We use JazzHR.
    • Assist with job postings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
    • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Facilitate new hire onboarding process, including paperwork and orientation logistics.
  2. Employee Records Management:
    • We use Zenefits/TriNet.
    • Maintain and update employee records, both physical and electronic.
    • Process employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  3. Benefits Administration:
    • Support administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments and terminations.
    • Assist employees with benefits inquiries and issue resolution.
    • Collaborate with external vendors to manage benefit plans effectively.
  4. HR Policies and Compliance:
    • Assist in maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with current legislation.
    • Support compliance efforts related to employment laws and regulations.
    • Help organize and participate in audits and investigations as needed.
  5. HR Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare HR-related reports and metrics for management review.
    • Analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  6. General Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the HR team, such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining supplies.
    • Assist in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in HR administration or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Google Apps for Business (especially Sheets and Docs).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional remote work may be permissible at times with the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits: 
  • Paid as a 1099 Contractor
  • Hourly Rate is $25-30/hr
  • We estimate 10-15 hours per week as a baseline
